Living Off the Grid

By: Nariah Dean

It's great to live off the grid. There are so many benefits. First, you can forget about those monthly electric bills. You don't have to worry about power outages. When the rest of the town's power goes out after a storm or other type of problem, you still have power.

There's also a great sense of freedom and independence when you don't have to rely on the grid like almost everyone else does.

Some families have gotten off the grid, by building an energy efficient home with alternative power sources.

Now it's not that easy to get off the grid. Some families have built their very own houses off the grid themselves, but of course it involved a lot of work, a lot of planning and knowing what they were doing.

As the go green movement gets more and more popular you will see more houses getting off the grid, going green, and using alternative energy sources to power their home and get electricity.

Fortunately, there are guides and videos that teach you how you can build your own home off the grid, so you can learn how to do it yourself. You will need help and an investment for all the materials. But when your home is complete, you will feel very free not having to worry about electric bills or outages ever again.

There is a guide written by an Australian couple with no building experience who built their very own energy efficient house off the grid. By getting this guide, you can learn exactly how they did it, and step by step how you can do it too. You can get this guide and learn more about it by visiting this site: http://bit.ly/jOGmz
