How to advertise your Website? (1/2)

By: donald villeneuve

There are so many ways to advertise your Website, that confusion can be installed when you try to define art that would suit you best. From my experience, the answer is: try them all! It is good to have some diversity of techniques for generating traffic to take over those that might not be effective.

The best comparison I can make would be with a mutual fund. The general idea of a mutual fund is investing in a group of stocks rather than putting all his money in a single investment. If the money invested in one or two stocks yield nothing, other stocks may offset and thus create a good balance of positive cash flow.
Your advertising should work the same way. Give yourself a comfortable variety of techniques to ensure your success in a market niche.

However, the difficult part is learning how to advertise effectively. Let's be honest, there is no magic formula for advertising and the only way to get success is to do it properly. We learn from our trials and errors.
Therefore, the real secret in advertising is the analysis you make your campaign and what you do, then the data collected. People's responses to your advertising you about what is not working on the things you need to change and new to try. Ultimately, you begin to find things that work for you. Build with them, slowly but surely. Before you do know it, you will have your first successful advertising campaign.

Let all the strategies and techniques that have been successful for me. Theorizing on sales techniques but it is not you would learn better how to efficiently from real experiences?
Most of the following sources to generate traffic are not new, nor secret. The reality is that all methods Advertising does not really change much, it's what you do makes a difference in your success as a niche vendor. We need to go through my methods of advertising. Please do not sweep. They can really help you with your business, also grant them a little of your time.

Pay-per-click (PPC)
I'm sure you already know Pay-per-click. This technique is you create an ad, introducing a list of keywords that will trigger your ad online. When a potential client enters a keyword from your list, your ad will appear on its search page. If the person clicks on your ad's display will be charged according to well defined criteria, taking into consideration the position of your ad listing and competitive keywords. More competitiveness is important, click the more you pay dearly.

Less competition you have, the less expensive click. The goal is to earn more money to spend.
Choose a company Pay-per-click (PPC)
There are many companies offering the pay per click Internet, but which should you choose? Here is the list of companies that I use personally PPC. They are listed in order of importance.

1. Google Adwords - is high quality and traffic suffered less click fraud. Their system is fairly easy to install and it provides tools to help you configure your posting correctly. They also provide fairly complete statistics on your ads. The only drawback is the cost per click. The traffic of the highest quality has a price! So far, all my campaigns with them were profitable, and until it is otherwise, they remain my first choice.

2. Yahoo Search Marketing - formerly Overture, the marketing solution from Yahoo has a cost per click is very similar to that of Google. They also offer good tools to help you in its use. The traffic volume is lower than Google and is slightly less focused.

3. Microsoft Ad Center - MSN has made great progress on its business pay-per-click, and is becoming, slowly, my choice # 2! Good tools, good quality traffic and click cost low. Traffic is, however, slightly lower than that of Yahoo.
Write your ad Pay-per-click
This is a crucial step for the success of your campaign. You can
have all the most important keywords of the world, but if your ad gets any clicks, what can it serve? In a nutshell, here's how you want your ad to act:
1. Get a large number of clicks;
2. Get a large number of sales;
3. Get a lot of money.
How to do that? Progressing from top to bottom?
Generally, you want your ad to follow a set of guidelines that increase performance. Here are the guidelines:
1. Match the title of important keywords;
2. List the characteristics on the first line;
3. List the benefits on the second line;
4. Put in the URL all or part of the terms that benefit the research;
5. Put capitalize the first letter of each word (except examples);
6. Use trigger words to attract your readers.

You will notice that in general advertising ads all look alike, and if you write an ad meets guidelines, it will probably lose among almost all other similar listings. So what?
Keep in mind that you are trying to attract attention to your ad so that people click on it and buy your product. For example put capitalize the first letter of each word in your ad. Or create as much publicity as you have keywords. Indeed, Google put in bold the keywords in the ads it displays.

Building your list of keywords
The importance of building a list of keywords should not be neglected. You made or losses your campaign with your selection of keywords. Your goal here is to build a good foundation with your keywords and then once done you can start digging deeper into your niche to find keywords more pointed and less competitive that you will earn money.

People who enter a keyword or two keywords are walking in their research but do not always seek to buy. There are three steps in the procurement process, which are: 1. walk, 2. compare 3. purchase. Your first priority when choosing your keywords is to focus on phase "buy." You can, however, get some sales from the stage "compare" it would be just a lower conversion rate.

Your offer will have all the safeguards to be in good conversion to the pressing any name brand as the company concerned allows you to do. For this you need to read the terms of the company to ensure that the use of their brand name is allowed.

Creating Ad Groups
Now that we have our list of keywords ready, we will create
several groups of ads for the keywords and upload them to Google
AdWords account. What I am about to share with you will be somewhat broken foot, but if you want to do campaign work, you wince a little and continue.

Over the past 3 years, where I used the ads pay-per-click, I completely changed methods several times and have discovered new techniques that work most effectively.

You will create ad groups called "micro group listing" which is a simple listing using very few keywords for this particular advertisement. So if you use the name brands, you create an ad and uses only one name brand ad group.
You repeat this technique for each brand name that you intend to promote. Or if you are promoting your own product, you just substitute the name of your product in the ad group. Use this technique for all your expressions of keyword "purchase" when you create your ad groups. Like this:

Try to create ad groups with no more than 12 keywords per ad. As I said before, is pest, but your ads to match more closely your keywords, your clickthrough rate and your conversion rate will be higher. Continue to create your group micro ads until you're in the keywords "buy." You should have some ad groups when you're done.
